Spent the day at the hospital yesterday. (sorry long)
So I have been having a lot of pains and cramping since I had Alexander, and I kept calling the labor and delivery triage and my OB office.
Well the reply I kept getting from them is, "this is your third baby, and it is completely normal to more cramping with every child you have". I was also telling them that I was still having excessive bleeding and they said also that it was my uterus clamping down because I was nursing the bleeding would be more. So I kept thinking that there was still something wrong. I was still taking 2 percocets every 4 hours almost 2 weeks out. My husband was concerned and called my OB himself. He then mentioned that he has never in the 8 years we have been together seen me take medication like that. Then the nurses words were "she is abusing her medication"! Then I felt that maybe it was all in my head after she said that.
Finally I scheduled an appointment to see the OB after begging them to get me in, they decided to I guess humor me and do so. So I went in yesterday early afternoon and the OB said, well lets take a look. So Of course I had to undress from the waist down. Well I did so and I told the nurse and dr that I was gushing blood, and they still did not take me serious until they saw it. The DR then said that she was not even going to see me, that I needed to get dressed and go straight upstairs to L&D. So I got up there and they did an ultrasound and then took me right away to get prepped for a D&C. Luckily I was doing something right and my blood count did not drop excessively.
I then had to call my husband because I had taken the baby and our only car with me and left him home with the kids. They needed him to be there to be with the baby, so they had to wait to do anything until he got there. Finally they did the procedure which I thought went very well and I got to go home a couple hours later.
So the reason I am posting this is for any of you that are having issues with your OB's. You know your bodies and you know when something is not right, do not stand down, stand up to them, they need to take you serious! This could have been taken care of over a week ago when I knew there was something wrong.

Thank you. I actually am feeling better today than I have the past 2 weeks. Even after only 4 hours of sleep! It was a long night. The baby slept through the night, but my 3 year old was waken up at 6am by our loud neighbors after we got to bed after 2. Well here is wishing that the baby stays asleep so I can have a nap.
